The Apollo program.

The Apollo program.

Over the weekend the beers of Apollo Brewing Company, made under licence at Red Sky Brew, Gordon’s Bay by former winemaker Chris Spurdens.

A Blonde Ale, an Indian Pale Ale, an Amber Ale and a Stout, all R22.50 per 440ml bottle from Liquor City Claremont. These are characterful if not the most polished beers I’ve ever drunk, and I liked all of them well enough except the Stout which was a bit too heavily roasted for me.
