What was the first bottle of wine that all made sense and why?
I can’t remember the name of the wine, but I quite enjoyed it. I actually only recently began drinking wine so it is quite a new thing for me.

What was your most memorable wine experience?
I can’t say that I have had a particularly memorable experience, but it is early days in my wine drinking so maybe that will come!

What wine that you have not yet tasted do you most want to?
I am still learning about the different wines so I am not really at a point where I know enough about them.

What was the last wine that you bought?
A Glen Carlou wine.

How big is your wine collection and where do you store it?
It is still early days, but I have about 25 wines which I keep in my wine cellar.

What was your most embarrassing moment to do with wine?
Luckily I haven’t had one as yet!

What do you like least about wine?
Sometimes they can leave a strong aftertaste.

What are your favourite restaurants in South Africa?
I enjoy Lekgotla in Sandton.

Which three people would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama and Sepp Blatter.

What is your most treasured possession?
My Ferrari.

What is your greatest extravagance?
That Ferrari.

How do you relax?
By spending time with my kids and playing golf.

Who are your favourite writers?
Chinua Achebe is probably my favourite.

Who is your favourite musician?
Jimmy Dludlu.

Where did you spend your last holiday?
In Lesotho, with my family.

What is your favourite city in the world and why?
New York. That place has a great vibe and there is always something to do. It never sleeps.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A nice long holiday with my children.
