Not overdone.

Lourens van der Westhuizen is the fifth generation of his family to farm Arendsig in Robertson and he makes a small range of boutique wines.  The Sauvignon Blanc has always been the most agreeable wine for me and I again like the 2011 (R60 a bottle). It’s lightly fruity on the nose and palate with moderate acidity and a commendably low alcohol by volume of 12.5%. Attractive and understated if not super-complex. Score: 15/20.
