Hartenberg Sauvignon Blanc 2008

‘Cause we need stuff  that doesn’t mention “cooling sea breezes” or advises that the wine “goes well with pizza, pasta, white meat, red meat or simply on its own”.

Back label for Hartenberg Sauvignon Blanc 2008 reads: “To the north of Stellenbosch lies the Hartenberg Cellar where man and the elements of nature bring their energies together to create a range of very special wines.

VINIFICATION: Picked on five different days from daybreak  to mid-morning over a two-week period. Gentle crush was followed by 4 hours’ skin contact. Extended lees contact for 4 months with weekly batonnage. BOTTLING DATE: Spring 2008. CELLARING: Ideal now or keep for up to 4 years from vintage. IDEAL MATCH: Grilled fish or chicken and roasted vegetables.”
