Superior then, superior now.

Yesterday Bertrams Cabernet Sauvignon Superior 1978 poured by David Trafford of De Trafford who hoped to demonstrate that South African reds can be age-worthy and the wine didn’t let him down. In colour, red with a pale brown rim. A wine of elegance and complexity. Sweet red fruit, fresh and dried herbs, earthiness and lots more of those hard-to-describe but enchanting tertiary notes that come with age.
