The Ooh Box. The name says it all. A box, delivered to your door once a month, full of wines and other yummy goodies that you’ll most certainly ooh over.
The concept was born just three months ago as a members-only tasting group by Philippa Husband-Mitchell and her partner Jaco Schoeman. Their promise is that your box will always contain four bottles of wine, one olive oil or balsamic vinegar, one hot drink, one chocolate (the really, really good stuff) and one taste treat. It’s always beautifully packaged, each item tagged with a message from The Ooh Box team about why they love the product. There’s even a recipe thrown in for good measure, making use of one of the delicious treats contained in your box and paired with one of the wines. And if anything particularly takes your fancy, you can order it through the online shop and have it delivered to your door.
Sounds great, but what does it cost? Interestingly, the original registration fee has been scrapped but the monthly cost increased from R295 to R395 per month (minimum three-month subscription, includes courier costs). Still, it’s a great deal considering the total value of every Ooh Box.
