The countdown to the third WINE magazine Sauvignon Blanc Top 10 competition has begun. An objective of the awards is to identify and promote the country’s finest wines made from the variety in various styles.
Every cellar in the country is invited to enter the competition – see overleaf for full details of entry requirements. The judges will be looking for the best quality wines, be they unwooded or wooded, grassy or fruity, fresh and crisp or aged.
All entries for the Sauvignon Blanc Top 10 must be submitted by midday on Friday 21 August 2009. Publication of the results in the November 2009 issue of WINE magazine will encompass an article on the winning producers – together with the category review and assessments of the top wines entered.
