Cleansing.

After reviewing 41 Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon submissions for the second annual RisCura White Hot Wine Awards (which produced three wines rated 5 Stars and six rated 4½ Stars, full results on 4 September), beer.

Specifically, the India Pale Ale from Cape Brewing Company in Paarl. Made with Mandarina Bavaria hops, it’s claim to fame is that it’s an all-German ingredient IPA. Bloody delicious although not quite as fruity as the name might suggest. R29.90 per 440ml bottle from Liquor City Claremont.
