Towards the greener end of the spectrum.

Towards the greener end of the spectrum.

Let it not be said that I’d never reward a Sauvignon Blanc showing pyrazine character. Last night the David Nieuwoudt Ghost Corner Sauvignon Blanc 2011 which placed among the winning wines in the FNB Top 10 Sauvignon Blanc Awards of the same year.

Lime as well as asparagus and some herbaceous notes on both the nose and palate. Astonishing richness, a good line of acidity before a saline finish. Impressive but quite hard work.

Score: 89/100.
