Diemersdal Eight Rows Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Hardcore.

Among the many versions of Sauvignon Blanc from Durbanville property Diemersdal, Eight Rows is one of the more premium, the 2016 being a real blockbuster.

A complex nose of lime, green apple, cantaloupe and white peach as well as fynbos and a hint of reduction. The palate displays super-concentrated fruit and a creamy texture with coated acidity. As powerful as Sauvignon Blanc gets, this is not for sissies. Port2Port price: R160 a bottle.

Editor’s rating: 91/100.
