La Ferme Derik Vivace 2009

High quality, low price.

Ignore the, um, eccentric packaging, this white blend from little-known Paarl winery La Ferme Derik rates highly in terms of its QPR (quality-price ratio). A blend of 52% Chenin Blanc, 21% Roussane, 10% Chardonnay, 10% Viognier and 7% Grenache Blanc, it’s medium bodied with layers of flavour, predominantly stone fruit and spice, while tangy acidity lends balance. Only the Viognier saw oak, two months in third-fill Hungarian. Yours for the princely sum of R45 a bottle.

With regards to the white blend at R45.00 its a steal, the label is disgusting. Money well spent on a label designer can bring better rewards!!!
