Takes no prisoners.

Takes no prisoners.

Ormonde Private Cellar in Darling recently released added to new wines to its flagship range, tasting notes and scores below:

Ormonde Sauvignon Blanc 2012
Recommended retail price: R93
Lots to this wine with some herbal character on the nose but the palate appearing rich and full with notes of citrus, granadilla and honey. Thick textured with tangy acidity. A forceful proposition.

Ormonde Shiraz 2009
Recommended retail price: R97
Very expressive with red and black fruit, spice and a certain dried meat quality. Rich and broad with a pleasantly smooth texture. Perhaps a little more developed than it ought to be.
