Simonsig Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Reserve Pinotage 2007

Alc 15.3% RS 2.1 g/l TA 6.2 g/l pH 3.42

Matured in 77% French and 23% American oak for 23 months, 100% new.

Tasting note: Intense black in colour. Initially closed on the nose but opens in the glass to reveal red and black fruit. Very concentrated on the palate with fresh acidity and firm tannins. Rich and full but balanced. CE’s score: 18/20.
