What Hilary Swank drank

“Hillary (sic) swank loved her dinner at the test kitchen tonight !!” tweeted Luke Dale Roberts, chef at this restaurant  situated in the Old Biscuit Mill complex, Woodstock, Cape Town on Tuesday  last week. Wine geek that I am, I didn’t want to know what the double Academy Award winning actress and her party ate but rather what they’d drank.

During lunch today at Dale Robert’s other Biscuit Mill establishment called the Pot Luck Club (courtesy of Bosman Family Vineyards), he was good enough to furnish me with the details: ginger ginseng cocktails to start, followed by Jordan Barrel Fermented Chenin Blanc , Oak Valley Chardonnay and Vondeling Sweet Carolyn.

“It was a glass or two matched to a specific dish so they didn’t drink that much,” says Dale Roberts. Swank, who was pretty high in my estimations before, has gone stratospheric.
