Started in 2007, and now run by leading wine critic Michael Fridjhon in conjunction with the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, the objective of the Wine Judging Academy is to help bring about an increase the number of competent wine judges at work in the industry.

Interested parties are invited to make application to attend the 2013 course, taking place from the 18 to 20 January at the Grande Roche hotel in Paarl. The cost is R6 300 (inclusive) which covers wine samples, teaching materials, all meals and accommodation. A bursary fund for partial assistance has been established for those whose circumstances warrant it.

The closing date for applications is 30 November. For more information or to request an application form, contact Michael Crossley, tel. 011 482 9178 or email crossley@reciprocal.co.za
