Die Kat se Snor Cinsault 2017

Here, Kitty Kitty.

Gerhard Smith, winemaker at Creation in Hemel en Aarde Ridge, also has his own label called Die Kat se Snor, one of the current releases being a Cinsault 2017, from Stellenbosch grapes and matured for 10 months in older oak.

It’s a most appealing example – the nose showing red fruit, floral perfume, fynbos plus some spice while the palate is light yet intensely flavoured with tangy acidity and powdery tannins.  Go get some – Wine Cellar price: R150 a bottle.

Editor’s rating: 92/100.
