Diemersdal Eight Rows Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Bright and breezy.

The Eight Rows Sauvignon Blanc, a vineyard selection from Diemersdal in Durbanville, is usually something pretty special so how is the wine from the much vaunted 2015 vintage showing?

The nose shows lime, an attractive herbal note and some talcum-powder like dustiness. One the palate, there’s good fruit purity and fresh acidity – it’s really well balanced but perhaps without the same presence as the superlative 2014 (see here). Price: R140 a bottle.

#WinemagRating: 91/100.
