Lunch with Robin Von Holdt, CEO of Top 100 SA Wines and owner of luxury St James guesthouse Rodwell House. Domaine Marquis d’Angerville Meursault-Santenots Premier Cru 2005 to accompany grilled cob, the fish acquired earlier in the day from nearby Kalk Bay harbour. The wine appeared rich and mellow with citrus, oatmeal and nutty aromas and flavours. Drinking well now but will probably sit on a plateau of maturity for another year or two.
