Haskell Vineyards appoints new winemaker

Haskell Vineyards in Stellenbosch has appointed Rudolph Steenkamp, previously assistant winemaker at Groot Constantia, as winemaker and vineyard manager. He replaces Rianie Strydom, who departs to concentrate on her own business, Strydom Family Wines.

The Haskell Pillars Syrah 2007, as made by Strydom, famously won  best in class, best red wine and best wine overall at the 2009 Tri Nations Wine Challenge among numerous other accolades.
