IWSC-Logo-120x96Earlier today, the International Wine and Spirits Competition announced the results of regional judging for South Africa to coincide with the start of Cape Wine 2015.

Local wines winning the top accolade of “Gold Outstanding” (95+ on the 100-point scale) were as follows:

    Kanonkop won two Gold Outstandings, for their Black Label Pinotage vintages 2010 AND 2012.

    Interesting to note that in the Pinotage category there was a winner from Canada. 🙂

    Oh, oh. The spam catcha asks me to name the object in the image, and there’s a chicken in a red circle. But what’s the correct answer? Chicken, Hen, Cock, Fowl, Gallus gallus domesticus, or do we have to identify the type? Bantam, Rhode Island Red ….?
