Quoin Rock The Nicobar 2007

Had a bottle of this back in April (see here) and found it overwhelming. Today I had a glass of it paired with a starter of lobster bisque during lunch with Robin von Holdt, CEO of Top 100 SA wines. The wine, a partially wooded Sauvignon Blanc, had been open for 24 hours and seemed more gentle without in any way being dissipated. Von Holdt reckons it will go “at least 10 years”.
