Rustenberg Roussanne 2010

Zephyr-like?

“Delightfully breezy but lacks 2009’s complexity,” says Platter’s 2011 of the Roussanne 2010 from Stellenbosch property Rustenberg, before giving it a rating of 3½ Stars. I can’t profess to be an expert on the variety but I’d be inclined to go half a star more as I liked it for its good fruit definition and fresh acidity and while it is rather primary now with flavours of peach and pear, there’s a sense that it will mature with benefit.
