Savage Are We There Yet? 2016

As the wind blows.

From Touriga Nacional, this is a new wine from Duncan Savage, the grapes largely sourced from David Trafford’s Malgas project.

On the nose, dark fruit, earth, spice plus a vague floral note in the background.  Relatively rich on the palate with moderate acidity and not too tannic on the finish. Lots of hipster appeal. Approximate retail price: R245 a bottle.

Editor’s rating: 90/100.
