Silvermist Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Doggone good.

Whereas there used to be both a standard label and a single vineyard version of Sauvignon Blanc from Constantia property Silvermist, from the 2015 vintage there is just one wine, all vineyards now certified organic.

It’s smart stuff. Aromatically, there are notes of white peach, citrus and granadilla and what the nose promises, the palate delivers. There’s very good fruit concentration, this ensuring the fresh is nicely coated and none too searing while there’s a little white pepper bite on the finish to keep things interesting. Price: R200 a bottle.

#WinemagRating: 91/100.
