Thelema Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2015

Dry but you can drink it.

The block of Sauvignon Blanc designated as “M3” on Stellenbosch property Thelema was planted in 1993 with a south-easterly aspect at a height of 460m above sea level. It has usually produced the best Sauvignon Blanc on Stellenbosch property Thelema and in 2015, the decision was taken to keep a small volume aside for a reserve bottling.

The wine shows lime, green apple, some honeydew melon and an attractive herbal overlay. It’s super-concentrated with coated acidity before a long and savoury finish. Currently quite severe, it should drink really well in a year or so. Price: R150 a bottle.

#WinemagRating: 90/100.
