1. Very real – this appears as part of an exhibition at the Kanonkop tasting room. Not available for tasting, as far as I’m aware.

  2. No fakes at Kanonkop! Whilst it appears we do more od some R&D is very much part of our strategy. I think we were the first producer worldwide to do screwcaps for a premium wine. Some 600 bottles were put under this closure and when WINE MAGAZINE (SA) did a vertical of Paul Sauer some 12 years ago, the 1983 screw cap was tasted against the cork version. Beyers did not even pick-up the difference! Only editor Fiona McDonald picked up some steeliness.
    Being tradionalist, screwcaps are not part of our vision though!
