Veritas-Awards-logoKWV again triumphed as best wine producer at Veritas 2013 with four double gold and 13 gold medals followed by Nederburg with four double gold and nine gold medals.

This year 1 792 wines and brandies were entered (compared to 1 744 in 2012) and 68 (3.7%) won double gold, 166 (9.2%) gold, 526 (29.3%) silver and 682 (38%) bronze.

KWV’s wines to win double gold included the following: The Mentors Orchestra 2010, The Mentors Pinotage 2011, Laborie Blanc de Blancs MCC 2009 and Classic Collection Cape Tawny N/V.

    A job well done. Some worthy winners IMHO…esp the Shiraz and Pinotage categories. Once again, Rustenburg Five Soldiers grabs a gong….a regular comp winner.
