Kaapzicht Skuinsberg Cinsaut 2017

“Skuinsberg” means steep slope and this 1991 site on Kaapzicht has apparently claimed many a tractor. The nose shows candy floss, cherry, plum, earth and spice. Quite generous fruit (despite a modest alcohol of 12.5%) and fine tannins make for an immensely likeable drop. Approximate retail price: R160 a bottle.
Editor’s rating: 90/100.
