Org de Rac is a Swartland property beyond Moorreesburg and before Piketberg – it has 54ha under vine and is certified to produce organic wine. Top of the range are a white and a red blend under Die Waghuis label, tasting notes and ratings as follows:
Org de Rac Die Waghuis Organic White 2016
Price: R160
37% Chenin Blanc, 37% Verdelho, 26% Roussanne. Matured for 12 months in French and American oak, partially new. Stone fruit, vanilla and spice plus some leesy complexity. Rich, broad and thick textured, the finish gently savoury.

Org de Rac Die Waghuis Organic Red 2016
Price: R160
66% Shiraz, 19% Grenache, 12% Mourvèdre, 3% Verdelho. Matured for 14 months in second-fill French oak. The nose shows red fruit plus hints of fynbos and spice. Fruit-driven with fresh acidity and fine tannins. Uncomplicated but appealing.
