International Wine and Spirits Competition 2013 results

IWSC-LogoThe International Wine and Spirits Competition announced the results of South Africa, Chile and Argentina judging at The Beautiful South Tasting in London yesterday.

Local wines winning the top accolade of “Gold Outstanding” were as follows:

Franschhoek Vineyards Shiraz 2010 (Franschhoek Cellar)
Groot Constantia Grand Constance 2010
Nederburg Private Bin R163 Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Nederburg Private Bin Edelkeur 2007

    On the topic of international wine competitions…
    South Africa was well represented (and won a whole bunch of medals and trophies) at the China Wine & Spirit Awards. The results came out on Monday. Here is a link of the SA wineries and producers that are bravely venturing into the Middle Kingdom
