Unrestrained.

Made by Niels Verburg from a combination of Swartland and Stellenbosch grapes; 12 months in mainly French oak, 30% new. Red and black fruit, some savoury developed character; rich and full with relatively soft tannins. Probably at its peak but carries its 15.5% alcohol well. Who wants “elegant and delicate” when there’s snow on the mountains?
