B de Alexandria 2014

Plan B.

Plan B.

B Vintners are Bruwer Raats of Raats Family wines and cousin Gavin Bruwer and their first release is a Muscat d’ Alexandrie 2014 from a 0.7ha Helderberg block approximately 30 years old.

It has that lovely grapey quality of Muscat plus some lime and a little peppermint bite on the finish. Good palate weight despite an alcohol of only 11.5%, moderate acidity and a nicely pithy finish. Understated and eminently drinkable. Price: R135 a bottle.

Score: 87/100.
