Bursting with fruit.

Tobias is the label of Bryan MacRobert, who works with Eben Sadie in the Swartland. His Chenin Blanc goes by the retro name of Steen and we tried his 2011 last night. Really well delineated fruit, which is to say not excessively oxidative as wines from this area can be. Peach, pineapple and a touch of honey. Juicy and relatively thick textured but with nice fresh acidity. Very more-ish. Score: 16.5/20. R89 a bottle from Caroline’s Fine Wine Cellar.
