Consultant viticulturist Paul Wallace and his wife Nicky acquired their Elgin property in 2003 to grow wine grapes, youngest son Bobby taking over winemaking in 2023.
Reflection Chardonnay 2024
Price: R300
Matured 10 months in 300- and 500-litre barrels, 20% new. Citrus and oatmeal on the nose while the palate is medium bodied with bright acidity and a creamy texture, the finish gently savoury. Well balanced, though perhaps a touch tentative in execution. Alc: 13%.

Highlander Cabernet Franc 2023
Price: R330
NEW. From a 0.3ha block planted in 2016, 20% whole-bunch fermentation, matured 11 months in 300-litre barrels, 30% new. Rose atop red currant with subtle herbs and paprika; oak remarkably discreet. Pure with a lovely vibrancy and crunchy tannins – super-elegant. Alc: 13%.
