Nederburg appoints Samuel Viljoen as new head winemaker

Samuel Viljoen of Nederburg.
Nederburg’s new head winemaker is Samuel Viljoen (40). He has been part of the winery team since 2007, first as an assistant, and from 2014 fully responsible for the cellar’s red wines. He succeeds Lizelle Gerber, who only took up the position in August 2019 and somewhat surprisingly has now left to pursue other interests.
