David & Nadia Contour Series Semillon 2015
From a vineyard planted in 1965. Lime and lemon, honey and thatch plus a little waxy character. Rich and broad with moderate acidity, a salty quality to the finish.
David & Nadia Pinotage 2015
From vineyards planted in the early 1990s. 20% whole bunch fermentation, maturation lasting 14 months in older French oak. An astonishing and quite singular rendition of the variety. The nose is captivating with abundant red and black cherries but also purple flowers, black olive, spice and earth. The palate shows riveting fruit purity, freshness and tannic grip, the finish long and particularly saline. Paradigm shifting, to quote Cathy van Zyl MW.
