The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022 sponsored by Pellegrino & Acqua Panna were announced in London last night with Fyn in Cape Town placing 37th. Geranium in Copenhagen placed first.
La Colombe in Cape Town earlier placed 56th and Wolfgat in Paternoster 90th.

Fyn! Comments about recent dining experiences at this restaurant would be appreciated by many contemplating a visit after their latest award. And what do diners think about the choice of wines on offer?

I ate at Fyn last night. It was sublime. A French couple at the table next to mine commented that it was both the best, and the best value, meal they’d had in many years.
Among the wines accompanying the meal were Pilgrim Viura, CPV Isliedh 2016, Vriesenhof Kallista ’07 and Kanonkop Pinotage ’12. The Fyn cellar is very carefully selected and has multitudinous treasures.
