The sixth annual Cape Wine Auction, sponsored by Nedbank Private Wealth, took place on Saturday at Buitenverwachting in Constantia, raising R14.6 million compared to R17.5 million last year. All proceeds are allocated to Cape Wineland’s education.

The day’s highest bid of R3 million went to three bidders for the Marovasa Be Experience in Madagascar – a week-long stay for 16 in a boutique hotel on the northwest coast of the island.
