Cavalli appoints Malie McGregor as winemaker

Malie McGregor is now viticulturist and winemaker at Cavalli in Stellenbosch. She succeeds Craig Barnard who has moved to Eagle’s Nest in Constantia.

McGregor hails from Paarl where she was raised on her parents fresh-cut herb farm. She studied fashion design before changing career paths, and obtaining a degree in viticulture and oenology at the University of Stellenbosch. She finished top of her class and was also awarded the Paul van der Bijl medal for excellence in the AgriScience faculty.

Cavalli Filly Chenin Blanc 2020 was best in category and best white wine overall out of all the Prescient Reports released last year.
