Colmant sold

Leading Cap Classique producer Colmant founded by Jean-Philippe Colmant nearly two decades ago and based in Franschhoek has been sold. New owners are Belgian nationals Jan and Isabelle Boone, both executives at snack manufacturer Lotus Bakeries that operates worldwide, including a production facility in the Western Cape town of Wolseley employing more than 700 people. Winemaker Paul Gerber stays on in the capacity of managing director.
