DGB invests in Avontuur

Producer-wholesaler DGB will be taking over the Avontuur brand, cellar and cellar door after entering into a partnership with the Taberer family who currently own it. The Helderberg property was acquired by the late Tony Taberer in 1984 and has most recently been run by his sons, Michael and Philip. As part of the long-term agreement, DGB will uproot all the leaf-roll infected vineyards on the property – a total of 40ha will be replaced.
