Winemag.co.za is pleased to confirm GETWINE as its retail affiliate for 2026.
The business traces its origins to 2003, when the Wegner brothers began selling unlabelled wine to friends and family, with a formal e-commerce platform launching in 2005.

Hi Johan. Request if I may. Please can you start adding vintage specific tasting notes and technical analysis info to the wines on your site. Its a pain in the backside to find the wine on the producer’s site to get this info especially if looking at multiple wines. Thanks.

Preach, Donald! We don’t care if the wine is described as “smooth” or showing “white peach” or if it’s family owned – just show us some analysis. Age of vines, production methods, etc. would be great, but at the very least provide the residual sugar, alcohol, pH and the wine of origin for the specific vintage. More info will be better, but at least that. Any wine selling platform that’s serious about selling fine (or even decent) wine should have that info readily available at the point where they’re expecting a financial commitment from potential buyers.
