Oldenburg appoints Nic van Aarde as new winemaker

Oldenburg Vineyards in Banhoek has appointed Nic Van Aarde, previously of Warwick, as its winemaker, with effect from 1 November 2018.

Current general manager and winemaker Philip Costandius will be stepping down from his role, though he will continue to provide consultation services to Oldenburg in the future.

Van Aarde holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture (Oenology and Viticulture) as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, both from the University of Stellenbosch. There is no word as yet as to his replacement at Warwick.
