RisCura White Hot Wine Awards 2016 results

Results of the fourth annual RisCura White Hot Wine Awards are now out. This involved putting together a line-up of 35 Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon blends from 31 South African producers, either currently available or soon to be released, and then undertaking a blind tasting.
Wines to rate 90 points or higher on the 100-point quality scale were as follows:

As producer of the best wine overall, Iona won a new 225-litre barrel from Tonnellerie Sylvain.

Apart from the Trizanne (which I am involved with) – the best two wines for me were the Tokara and Delaire Graff. So solid and delicious. The Tokara for me is the SA benchmark of the style (across vintages).
