Wine Cellar, the Cape Town firm which brokers and cellars fine wine, used to conduct its tastings in an underground and, it must be said, slightly dingy room. Recently, however, this has changed. Space was found upstairs and interior design company Xperiencemakers were called in to lend a professional touch – the tasting room is now “industrial chic” with two striking “mood walls” at either end, one featuring a hugely expanded photograph of the Helderberg and the other studded with pudding stones from the Sijnn property in Malgas.
