Put your old vines to the test

Entries are now open for the third annual NFB Old Vine Report, informed by a blind tasting designed to identify the old-vine wines that perform most convincingly in the glass.

The wines will be tasted by editor Christian Eedes, James Pietersen, CEO of Brice & Burnett, and Francois Rautenbach, a hospitality and wine specialist.

Why enter?

• Your wine is judged blind, without producer or brand influencing the result.

• The report puts your wine alongside other leading examples from South Africa’s heritage vineyards.

Entry fee: R1,495 per wine, including VAT.

To qualify, wines must be made from grapes grown on Certified Heritage Vineyards: vineyards aged 35 years or more, registered with SAWIS and approved by the Old Vine Project.

Entries close 7 October 2026. No late entries will be accepted.
