Doran Vineyards Arya 2018

It’s fast, it’s fun, it’s in the sun.

André Badenhorst, father of Adi and partner with Edwin Doran in the Voor Paardeberg property that is Doran Vineyards, insisted that the unwooded Arya 2018 made from Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne was too modest to be included in the recent Cape White Blend Report but it’s a great drop.

The nose shows a hint of reduction before white and yellow fruit plus an attractive herbal note. The palate displays pure fruit and snappy acidity before a long, slightly salty finish. Price: R65 a bottle.

Editor’s rating: 90/100.
