Land’s End Cape South Coast Syrah 2018

By , 17 May 2021

Land’s End is the label that sees Breedekloof cellar Du Toitskloof utilise grapes from the Cape South Coast region, the Cape South Coast Syrah 2018 combining grapes from the ward of Elim as well as the broader Walker Bay district.

At R570 per six-bottle case, it offers terrific quality relative to price. Matured for 20 months in French oak, of which 70% was new, the nose shows red and black berries, earth, pepper and spice plus a hint of reduction while the palate is light and fresh with lightly grippy tannins – a wine that’s just entirely pleasurable to drink.

CE’s rating: 90/100.
