Rickety Bridge Blanc de Blancs 2012
By Christian Eedes, 7 November 2016
The Blanc de Blancs 2012 from Rickety Bridge will appeal to those who like evolved character on their bubbly, 15% of the base wine fermented and matured for six months in oak, while time on the lees after secondary fermentation was 40 months.
On the nose, citrus, apple and peach plus honey and plenty of yeasty character. The palate is particularly rich with a soft, creamy mousse, the finish long and savoury. A hint of spice adds interest. Price: R240 a bottle.
#WinemagRating: 88/100.
