Rietvallei Dark Cin Cinsaut 2015

Naughty but nice.
The phenomenon that is local Cinsaut continues with the Dark Cin 2015 from Rietvallei in Robertson. From vineyards planted in 2012, the wine was matured in second- and third-fill 300-litre barrels. On the nose, plum and strawberry plus a little chocolate and spice. The palate meanwhile is medium bodied with moderate acidity and a gently savoury finish. So pleasing and more evidence that this variety has a great future here. Approximate retail price: R73 a bottle.
